Manial Palace

Nile-side view in Cairo

On Roda Island, Manial Palace is a richly layered royal residence built for Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfiq. Its rooms combine Ottoman, Persian and European influences, with intricate tilework, carved ceilings and a distinctive mosque. It is a rewarding stop for architecture lovers. The Ministry of Tourism lists foreign adult admission at EGP 220 and foreign student admission at EGP 110; the garden is not included in the museum visit.
